Over many years I have seen Physiotherapists and Sport Massage Therapists with various aches and pains.  Recently, following a recommendation I have had several appointments with Charlotte and Gary Chapman for hip and leg pains, at Physio & Pilates in Motion at Market Deeping. I have found both Charlotte and Gary to be most professional, dedicated and most importantly effective in locating the sources of my pain.  My exercise programme from Charlotte has helped me enormously to improve my pain and mobility.  What a combination they are, as they work very closely together to identify and treat areas of concern.

The sports massages and stretches that Gary carries out are second to none.  As previously mentioned I have had many sports massages but Gary is by far the best.  He has a thorough understanding of anatomy and explains in detail areas that he is focusing on.  The most unique thing I have experienced from Gary is his dedication to work beyond his requirement to achieve the best possible outcome.  His stretches are expertly carried out and the muscle massage is targeted and so effective.  I can get now walk and sit for longer periods with less pain.

I am so grateful for the positive experience and outcome from them both and I highly recommend them.”

“Charlotte is an absolute star. I’ve been doing Pilates for about 15 years and her classes are up there with the best I’ve ever done.”

“Great online Pilates classes from Charlotte – she is interactive, gently challenging and her physio led classes are a highlight in my week. I really enjoy the 2 live Zoom classes and there is a huge library of online classes to choose from. If you like HIIT, it’s there, if you like more relaxing, stretching sessions, it’s there, if you’ve only got time for short sessions, it’s there. Spoil yourself! You’ll feel stronger mentally and physically.”

“Charlotte’s online classes are as creative and interactive as she is! It’s great to do online classes to keep up my fitness and strength. Investing a little time in ‘me’ has been so important.”

“I am quite new to Pilates but I am thoroughly enjoying Charlotte’s classes. Charlotte is passionate about what she does, and her knowledge and lovely engaging personality shines through whether you attend her classes at her studio or online. I never thought I would look forward to attending a virtual exercise class so much but it has become the highlight of my Saturday morning –  thank you so much Charlotte!”

“Ever fancied trying Pilates?  Then join Physio-led pilates classes with Charlotte.  The classes are fun & friendly & you don’t need any knowledge of Pilates, you learn as you go!  As Charlotte is a qualified physiotherapist you feel safe exercising with her & she always ensures you are positioned correctly.  She is always encouraging & supportive & will find an alternative way to do something if you’re not as flexible as you’d like to be or are recovering from injury.  During lockdown Charlotte has kept us going with online classes which varied from a 10 minute stretch class for ‘desk workers’ to a 50 minute Pilates workout.  I was 60 when I joined Charlotte’s classes over 2 years ago & I can honestly say I feel so much better for it.”

“Charlotte has helped to keep me sane, flexible and strong during the worst and best of the Covid-19 year that is 2020! I often come away from the class uplifted, centred and feeling great having been guided very professionally by a physio. Thank you Charlotte for your lovely Pilates classes (Live and You Tube) with a nice touch of dance thrown in occasionally too! Your enthusiasm is infectious and has been so important during this hugely challenging time!”

“I started attending the studio classes last year when I needed to improve my core and balance for riding my horse. Charlottes classes were perfect (I’m 62). Everyone is encouraged to work at the level they wish and we see improvement in our flexibility and wellbeing. During 2020 Charlotte’s online classes have been a blessing. They’ve been interesting, challenging and provide you with a fabulous way to keep healthy and charged with energy. Thank you so much Charlotte, you have helped make 2020 so much better than it would otherwise have been.”

“I am in the vulnerable category, so had to shield during the Covid-19 Lockdown, but that didn’t mean I didn’t have to stop doing my Pilates. Luckily Charlotte also does her classes through videos, which can be sent via WiFi. Charlotte is clear about the movements, which means you always feel safe and in the correct position to get positive results all the time.  She understands my difficulties and can tailor my routines. Some sessions are short and some can be long – you choose which one you can fit in to do. Thank you Charlotte for keep me flexible, strong and helping keep my weight stable during COVID-19.”

“I love that I can join the online classes when they work for me rather than having to keep to a fixed time, which isn’t always possible. Charlotte’s variety of exercises has me addicted and I try to do something every day. My aches and pains are diminishing- thank you to a very inspirational teacher, who explains everything so clearly. I love the virtual model- please keep it going after lockdown!”

“I have been attending Charlotte’s Pilates (Physio and Pilates in Motion) classes for the last few years. Two years ago I had a knee replacement. During my recovery, I asked Charlotte to provide me with physio at my home. The end result is that I am now back attending her classes, at her studio, carrying out the full range, albeit, with some minor adjustments. I can even do some of the kneeling exercises. During lockdown, we have all been on the online journey! Charlotte has become a very proficient online teacher. Her online classes are very professional, it is just like she is in the room with you. I really enjoy these classes, as I can do them at a time to suit me. She is a very motivational lady.”

“I have been attending Physio and Pilates in Motion classes for over 3 years now. I was recommended by my own physio – who also attends classes – what more recommendation could you possible want!
Charlotte is patient, kind, understanding  and giggly!  She has adapted so well to the current situation and continued classes online immediately, she holds 2 live zoom classes a week along with a link everyday to one of the many classes that she has created on her website.
So if you’ve spent too much time on your sofa recently and everything aches and you feel unfit, why not join us for classes, you won’t regret it.  There are traditional Pilates classes along with HITT and dance. You can work to your own level. The real difference with Charlotte’s classes is that, as a fully qualified physiotherapist, she always takes into account the needs of each individual. Charlotte also offers 1 to 1 physio sessions to kickstart your recovery and is available if you have any queries. Attending her classes is definitely one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.”

I have been going to see Charlotte on a one-to-basis for some months relating to an ongoing back and leg problem.   I have found her physio sessions to be most beneficial in relieving my aches and pains.  I find Charlotte to be most sympathetic and understanding and we manage between us to put the world to rights during each session!   She has gone to considerable lengths to ensure the safety of her patients during this pandemic.   I would certainly recommend Charlotte to anyone requiring treatment or exercise.

“I joined Charlotte’s pilates class after more than a year of chronic lower back pain, following a prolapsed disc. This pain had resulted in a number of days off work and the use of a standing desk due to an inability to sit for prolonged periods.Charlotte’s beginners class was ideal for me as she explains herself very well, creates a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and gives 1-1 feedback during and after the class. Within a short time I began to understand the correct way to perform pilates exercises and saw significant improvement in my back pain whereby I no longer have days off work, need to take pain medication and hardly use my standing desk.I was also very pleased with her physiotherapy which helped me early on to ease muscle pain and tightness, identify weakness in my posture and recommend specific exercises to counteract my issues.Thank you so much for your help, Charlotte. My back is a million times better after your pilates classes and physio!”

“I have been taking the pregnancy Pilates class from 20 to 37 weeks pregnant. It’s a fantastic class. Charlotte is a very knowledgable teacher. I was made to feel so welcome. I felt so relaxed and full of energy after taking the class. Would highly recommend through any stage of pregnancy.  Thank you Charlotte!”

“I feel really lucky that my own physio recommended me to Charlotte. I’ve attended her classes for nearly a year now and feel so much stronger. It’s clear that Charlotte really cares and wants to help us all improve, whatever our skills or fitness levels. She checks us individually to ensure we are executing each exercise correctly. Something that just couldn’t happen in a larger class. I wholeheartedly recommend her classes.”

“I attended Charlotte’s classes whilst pregnant and have since joined her postnatal class. Charlotte always makes the classes relaxing, fun and welcoming and they have made such a difference for me that I would highly recommend to anyone!”

“Following a fairly serious lower back injury at work I emailed Charlotte to see her class would be of any benefit to me. Before offering any advice she came to my house to carry out a one to one assessment, Charlotte is a qualified and experienced professional and she clearly has a passion for physiotherapy, so when she offered me a place I jumped at the chance. There is a very relaxed atmosphere in the class and as it’s led by a physiotherapist all the exercises are specifically tailored towards each persons individual injuries (if they have any) which I found very helpful. Charlotte works with each client to promote recovery and prevent reoccurrence of injuries, she does this by improving flexibility, increasing core strength and the targeted excercise of specific muscle groups, it isn’t complicated but having a physiotherapist on hand for help or advice is a massive bonus. When I was first injured I could barely walk, with Charlottes help and some hard work I’m now back in the gym and going out running just as I had before the accident, I can’t recommend her and her class highly enough.”

“I can thoroughly recommend Charlotte’s classes. She is a consummate professional, building confidence through encouragement and support whilst delivering a challenging and fun class.”

I can not recommend Charlotte & her classes enough. I started going to pregnancy Pilates just over a year ago and it was my highlight of the week. From the first class I was made to feel welcome and relaxed with exercises tailored to individuals needs. The relaxing end to the class is a welcome break for the mind and I credit this to helping during my labour. Once my daughter was born we couldn’t wait to join postnatal class which again is relaxed and friendly and a great help both physically and mentally to all us new mums. Charlotte really looks after us and you could not be in better hands.

“Charlotte has been absolutely wonderful from the moment I met her. After having two children, I have really struggled with my lower back and the day-to-day strain on my body of running around after two lovely but demanding children! Taking an hour out to work with Charlotte also really enables me to relax, so I return home feeling refreshed as well as not having any pain! Charlotte really understands my body and it’s specific needs, she is always at the end of a phone or email for any advice and has been absolutely pivotal in getting me back on my feet. I am so much happier for having had her in my life.”

“I have been going to Postnatal Pilates with Charlotte for a few months now. Its been such a brilliant class and just what I needed to get back to feeling slightly more human after having my son!
It has been great to be able to go to an exercise class and bring my baby along without having to worry. Charlotte is always on hand to help out and all the babies love her. It is such a lovely, friendly environment and the exercises have been set at just the right level. Charlotte’s knowledge and understanding is second to none – she has helped me with various issues since having my son and each time her advice is so helpful and I’m sure everyone else in the class would agree – she is fab. If you have recently had your baby, then I highly recommend joining her Postnatal class – you certainly won’t regret it!”

“I came to Pilates as a beginner on 1 July this year as my Reflexologist suggested it would be beneficial. Charlotte offered many advantages – a qualified physiotherapist which inspired confidence; a small class providing individual guidance and at an affordable cost. After just a few weekly classes I noticed an improvement in fitness level. I no longer puff my way up the stairs to the seventh floor of the multi storey car park. I bound up the lengthy Travellator at Bank Station with ease – a sense of achievement! Every class is different – no boring same routines every week and we have made steady progress moving on to more demanding exercises. Tasks that proved challenging in the early weeks are now achieved with ease – greater flexibility and balance; breathing is easier coupled with a general sense of well being. Not bad for an OAP – thank you Charlotte I’m hooked now.”

“I wanted to do some one-to-one coaching to develop core strength and good posture before an operation and so I got in touch with 3 different professionals regarding Pilates and Physio. I chose Charlotte  – she was the most professional and friendly of everyone and I believed she would help me to achieve my goals. Her skills, experience and expertise are outstanding and the results speak for themselves. Her support during the period of my operation resulted in a good recovery too. I have been to larger Pilates classes at my gym, but they lacked the personal input I wanted and my progress wasn’t as good as it was with one-to-one sessions with Charlotte. I have enjoyed the sessions so much and my husband has been so impressed with my improvement, that he wanted to take part in the Pilates sessions too, and Charlotte kindly agreed to run two-to-one coaching sessions. I highly recommend Charlotte for her results orientated, professional and supportive approach.”

“I started this class with Charlotte for a bad back and weak core following 2 children. I’d tried chiropractors , osteopaths, acupuncturist and the doctor. Physio recommended exercises and nothing seemed to help. The doctor’s physio said Pilates would help and I saw this class on a facebook recommendation – it took a few weeks but my back has improved dramatically and I am so pleased I made the call to join, I would definitely recommend.”

“Charlotte is a brilliant Pilates teacher; she creates a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in her classes, and varies the exercises a lot which meant it was never boring.  Charlotte is attentive during her classes, making sure we were in the correct positions and tweaking exercises when needed to take into account any injuries we had and our levels of fitness (which improved a lot while under her instruction). Charlotte comes fully recommended!”

“I really enjoy learning pilates with Charlotte. You are a great teacher—-clear, informative, caring and knowledgeable, (I loved the way you always knew when we were not using the correct muscles! You make your classes fun as you are such a happy, energetic and positive lady”.

Fantastic class. As it’s run by Charlie a qualified physiotherapist you fell well supported throughout. Any time you struggle with a move she is there to help you through it by showing you how to adjust it to cater for your individual needs. For example I struggle with things such as knee bends due to an injury. Charlie has shown me a slightly different way to do them which means I can still join in with the rest of class. I’ve been to other exercise classes before and wondered if I was doing them correctly but never really known whereas in Charlies class you feel confident that she is keeping an eye on everyone and that she’ll help you if you need it.”

“I found Charlotte’s classes purely by accident, so I am writing this to make sure that the next person that needs her help sees a well deserved review, because I find her practice to be excellent!
I’ve seen Charlotte on both a one to one and class basis for over two years to support me with a previously troublesome back condition. I found her knowledge to be incredible, a holistic approach with an understanding for all manner of things that have been wrong with me! I can happily say that my back has been trouble-free since those first few classes, and I genuinely feel that her work has made a real difference to my health for good. Classes are friendly and fun, and I feel like it’s made a massive difference to my overall well-being.”

“Charlotte’s classes (with her caring and professional approach) have helped me a lot with my body image and self esteem. I am now exercising again- Pilates has given me the confidence to do things again. So thank you for everything.”

“I have never enjoyed exercises before s79 yrs Old and a few health problems Charlotte s classes have shown me your never too old I would recommend the class to anyone come and join us I can now balance without a wobble on one leg.”

“I attended the pregnancy Pilates class throughout the second and third trimester of my pregnancy until the birth of my daughter in March 2019. I have a previous lower back injury but thanks to Charlotte and this class I went the whole way through my pregnancy without any back problems. Charlotte is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Her classes are perfect for making sure you strengthen those muscles that get weak in pregnancy (like the dreaded pelvic floor!) and also strengthening the muscles you will need in labour and once your baby is here. I would definitely recommend all expectant mums attend this class.”

“I approached Charlotte for help when my lower back problem resulted in a trip to hospital due to uncontrollable pain and being unable to walk. Charlotte is very professional and approachable. I arrived at her classes not being able to walk far and with no faith in what I could do physically. I had stopped doing things with my children which I hated. Thanks to Charlotte’s class I am happy and active again without fear of another debilitating episode with my back. Charlotte is always attentive during the classes and provides each person individual guidance to improve and progress in Pilates. Thank you Charlotte you have been my saviour.”

“For anyone out there who is thinking about starting up Pilates and have had any injuries previously, I have to say that Charlottes class puts you at ease because you are excising with someone who is physio qualified so it gives you the confidence that you won’t injure yourself further you will just get stronger! Charlotte is so upbeat every week, she always ensures that everyone is doing the exercises correctly and praises people along the way which is so encouraging to keep going. I am so pleased I found you Charlotte.”

“I first met Charlotte in June 2016 when my partner and I decided that it would be a good idea to take up Pilates as a way to improve our flexibility and help stem the ageing process.  I had had major shoulder surgery which was going to take many months to resolve and my partner had limited range of movement in the ankles due to a congenital condition.  We were pleased to start in the ‘gentle’ class, being unsure how we would cope after several years of very little in the way of exercise.  We should not have been concerned because Charlotte keeps her classes small so that she can easily give individual attention and makes sure that she is aware of any issues people have so that she can give alternative exercises.  We progressed to the more advanced class after a few weeks and as before the class was small and each person’s requirements were catered for.  She makes everyone feel comfortable whatever their ability is.

Recovery from my shoulder surgery was slow and I had been discharged from my NHS physiotherapy appointments prematurely so I asked Charlotte if she would help me with my rehabilitation. My goodness, how lucky was I to have such a dedicated professional to help in my recovery. I saw her weekly for around 5 months and know that I could never have advanced so much without her help. She listened to what I had to say and adapted the exercise routine accordingly, she massaged out the painful knots in my poor aching muscles, she explained things to me so that I could understand the importance of the different exercise and could learn from what my body was ‘telling’ me. My hospital physiotherapy was re-instated but I continued with Charlotte because I could see the difference her care was making to both my pain and range of movement. It was not easy but her encouragement kept me going. I cannot thank her too much for all she has done, dedicated seems an inadequate description for her attitude to her work.”

“I thoroughly enjoy the class with Charlotte. A lovely relaxed atmosphere and fun. Charlotte always ensures you are doing the exercises correctly and provides plenty of encouragement. I would highly recommend her classes.”

“I’ve been coming to Charlotte’s Saturday morning class for some months now and am really starting to see an improvement with my lower back problem and core strength. Her classes are relaxed, friendly and always enjoyable. Charlotte is very aware of the different needs/strengths of everybody in the group which with other instructors I have tried has not always been the case. I whole heartedly recommend the classes and wish I had discovered her earlier!”

“I’m so pleased I started physio- pilates. I no longer do myself an injury doing normal reaches during everyday life. I thought I would dread sessions as I knew I had core strength to build up and other weak muscles after a late in life pregnancy and have tried yoga & pilates before but got bored, but I look forward to going to Charlotte’s class’s. I’ve already recommended them to others. I’m a very satisfied customer and it’s doing what I wanted classes to do.”

“I really do enjoy Charlotte’s sessions and always feel welcome and looked after.  You have a lovely style and the support you give each of us during the session is excellent.”
